Henceforth there will be no grace period for over-stayers in UAE, previously a grace period of 10 days was permitted for person to leave UAE without fine however now heavy fine will be payable even if there is overstay of just 1 minute!!!
All travelers to UAE are recommended to exit at least a day or two before visa expiry; there will be no waiver if fine is imposed & your next visa application may also be rejected.
Travel to Dubai
If Dubai is your final destination, or if you have Dubai Connect booking, you’ll need to take a COVID-19 PCR test no more than 48 hours before departure and another RAPID PCR test at the airport 6 hours before your flight. The validity of the PCR test will be calculated from the time the sample was collected at an approved health facility. Both negative PCR test certificate and RAPID PCR test report with QR codes must be presented at check-in. Please be at the airport 5 hours before the departure of your flight to complete all the formalities.
UAE nationals travelling to Dubai are exempt from the test before travel but must take a test on arrival at Dubai International airport.
Connecting in Dubai
If you have a connecting flight through Dubai, you will need to take a COVID-19 PCR test no more than 72 hours before departure and present a negative certificate at check-in. Please make sure to check the latest information on your final destination and follow the most restrictive requirements.
